Today it’s finally there: an update to version 2.0 with the ability to create and mail a booklet (pdf)!!
The booklet contains all details of your child, this means every event (with pictures) and all growth data.

You can find this new function in the detail screen of your child, below the Growth button. If you don’t own an iPhone 5, you have to scroll a bit to be able to see it.

Note: if you have a lot of events, the booklet can become quite large.

If you like the app and the new feature, please leave a rating or review at the App Store!

The next challenge will be to save the booklet to Dropbox…

A short update, because I’ve been spending less time on the app lately. I’m expecting to become father again in de next couple of weeks, which I’m looking forward to very much. As a result my priorities have shifted a bit.

Several of my Dutch users  asked me if a book couldn’t be made of all the events. Until recently I hadn’t really investigated the thought, both because I know my level of expertise is sill quite low and also I had visions of nice photo albums in my mind.

A couple of weeks ago however, I got the notion that a sort of booklet in PDF format can be feasible. That booklet could contail all of the events for a child including the pictures.

I’m now examening the options and building the first tests and it seems this change could be realized on a short term. Well, if the birth of my new kid doesn’t interfere to much, that is…  🙂

So the next version of the app will most probably introduce the ability to create such a booklet.

N.B. I haven’t received any reviews from abroad yet and a little promotion would really help me a lot: please submit your review to the App Store if you like the app!! Your comments could really help the app, because without reviews, little people will find it in the App Store I have noticed.

Liking or sharing the facebook page would help promote the app too, but at the moment I only have a Dutch Facebook page.

Last weekend version 1.4 of the app was released. iPhone 5 is now supported, which means the app is full screen from now on.

Today an update to version 1.3.1 became available. It’s a minor update with no new functionality.

Crashes of the app in situations where no mail function is available, are now prevented.

In addition, the number of events in the free version now limited to 8. If you want to add more events, you can unlock that feature with single purchase. The underlying idea is that all the features of the app are free to try, but you have to buy the app if you are really going to use it.

Note: The limitation on the number of events is not applicable if you have already purchased the app.

Today the app was mentioned in a special toddler edition of a famous Dutch parenting magazine: Ouders van nu!!

I’m very excited and proud; can’t think of a better way to promote my app…

… it would be really, really nice if a foreign (English or Spanish) magazine would also review or mention it (any suggestions are more than welcome).
